People v. Chavez Our client was charged as felon in possession of a firearm, with a strike prior and a prison prior. He was facing a total of 7 years. The deputy DA was offering 4 years at 85%. Our client flat out refused, so we went to trial. The jury came back with a not guilty verdict and client was released that day.
In re D.R. This was a juvenile case in which our client was charged with felony assault with gang enhancement and misdemeanor assault with gang enhancement. She was facing a total of 10 years and 8 months. Our client refused the deputy DA’s offer of the misdemeanor assault charge and we went to trial. The judge found our client not guilty.
